PUC rejects NextEra acquisition of Oncor

The Public Utility Commission of Texas today rejected NextEra Energy’s proposed acquisition of Oncor Electric Delivery for $18.4 billion. Oncor is Texas’s largest transmission and distribution electric utility and serves more than 10 million customers in Texas. Chairman Nelson Announces Departure from the PUC

At the start of the April 13, 2017 Public Utility Commission of Texas open meeting, Chairman Donna Nelson announced her departure from the PUC. May 15 will be her last day. She will preside over the May 4 open meeting. On the agenda of that meeting is consideration of the LCRA Leander to Round Rock transmission project.

Oncor Files Agreed-Upon Transmission Line Project in Andrews County

Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC filed an application for an agreed-upon 138 kV transmission line in Andrews County, Texas. Entergy Files Jefferson County Transmission Line Project

PUC Commissioners indicate no approval for NextEra’s Oncor purchase

The three Public Utility Commission of Texas commissioners said Thursday they will not approve NextEra’s proposed deal to purchase Oncor. They all said the NextEra deal is not in the public interest.
