On May 17, 2017, AEP Texas, Inc. (AEP) requested the PUC issue a docket number for a POI project in Pecos County, Texas.
The AEP request states the project is proposed for a transmission line from Solstice to Roserock. Solstice is an AEP substation west of Barilla Junction, Texas. Roserock is a 157-megawatt solar facility owned by Southern Power and Recurrent Energy, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar Inc. The project is located on 1,300 acres. The AEP request is available here. The Commission assigned the project Docket Number 47187.
AEP will file its application in the assigned docket. AEP will send affected landowners notice of the project on the date it files its application. Parties in the case will submit all other filings in that docket, too. At this time, AEP does not have information about the project on its web site. Other AEP Texas transmission line projects may be viewed on the AEP website.
